Well, I bit the bullet! I am going to try the HCG diet and attempt to lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks.
I have lost 20 pounds before but I did it very slowly for 9 months at about about the rate of 0.5 lbs per week.
There was no magic formula here. I simply followed some laws of physics around “calories in” vs. “calories out” and put myself at a net loss of about 1700 – 1800 calories per week and, voila! Problem solved…goal achieved! I had hit my target weight of 135 pounds and body fat percentage of 5.6%
In my never-ending quest to “quantify myself” I decided to bulk back up about 23 pounds to about 158 (tried to hit 160 but it was getting a bit uncomfortable trying to eat so much) and then cut it again. This time, however, I was looking for a silver bullet.
If I’m right, this silver bullet is HCG – human chorionic gonadotropin.
